DESCRIPTION:Cape Loves Trees\, so much that we’re giving them away! \nFREE TREE GIVEAWAY IS BACK!!! \nThat’s right! Up to 25 lucky homeowners can apply for FREE trees\, to be available for planting this fall. Seize this opportunity to Save the Bay\, support wildlife\, strengthen your community\, improve our collective health\, save money\, and beautify your property with your shared stewardship!  \nSimply submit your application to the Cape Conservation Corps. Folks will be awarded free trees on a first-come\, first-served basis. Note: If you received trees last year\, please do not apply again this year.  Deadline for submittal by USPS or email is August 1\, 2026.  \nSuccessful applicants will meet the following criteria: \n\nResident and/or property owner in the Cape\,\nAdequate and appropriate space and\,\nProperty owner’s signature for the “AA Co. Watershed Stewards Tree Troopers – Property Owners Agreement” \n\nA limited number of the following species will be available.  They have been selected based on their climate resilience\, habitat value\, seasonal interest and variety of size in the landscape. SUMMARY:CCC's Weekly Conservation Crew ~ June 10\, 2026
DESCRIPTION:CCC is continually working to improve and maintain three public areas in Cape St. Claire for the enjoyment of all – Serene Ravine (across from 1037 Lake Claire Dr.)\, Little Magothy Beach Park and Woodland Trail (1110 Little Magothy View)\, and the Deep Creek Pier parking lot (end of Gateway Dr.) This is ongoing work! \nCCC’s Conservation Crew\, aka Wednesday Weed Warriors\, removes invasive plants at the properties weekly\, from early April through mid-October. When appropriate for the season\, native plants are also added to the properties. This is a great opportunity for student volunteer hours!
