DESCRIPTION:CCC is continually working to improve and maintain three public areas in Cape St. Claire for the enjoyment of all – Serene Ravine (across from 1037 Lake Claire Dr.)\, Little Magothy Beach Park and Woodland Trail (1110 Little Magothy View)\, and the Deep Creek Pier parking lot (end of Gateway Dr.) This is ongoing work! \nCCC’s Conservation Crew\, aka Weed Warriors\, removes invasive plants at the properties weekly\, from early April through October. Right now\, native plants are also being added to the properties. This is a great opportunity for student volunteer hours! Gloves and trowels are provided\, but feel free to bring your own gloves and tools. \nPlease use the SignUpGenius link below to sign up for any or all of the October dates:  10/7\, 10/14\, 10/19\, 10/28. DESCRIPTION:Shell Yeah! The Cape’s Amazing Turtles! \nCCC will hold its FREE biannual speaker event\, along with a “nature art” silent auction\, on Friday\, November 6th\, at the Cape Clubhouse. Our fall speaker is Cape resident Brendan Curran! Light refreshments will be served. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. \nBrendan Curran is a MD Department of Natural Resources Master Naturalist\, amateur herpetologist\, and Mid-Atlantic Turtle & Tortoise Society Board Member. Join Brendan\, as we explore the remarkable lives of the many species of turtles that call the Broadneck Peninsula home. Learn about their habitats\, role in our ecosystem\, threats they face\, conservation initiatives\, what to do when encountering them\, and how YOU can be an ally for our shelled neighbors! \nIn addition to the art silent auction and a fantastic speaker\, an acoustic guitar is being raffled off!
