DESCRIPTION:CCC is helping to provide labor for an environmental literacy Capstone Project designed by two Broadneck HS students. Runoff is currently undermining the sailing shack at Lake Claire Beach (aka “Little Beach”)\, located at the end of Latrobe Dr.\, here in the Cape. The students have organized a small restoration project to slow runoff and stabilize the shack by bringing in topsoil and planting native grasses. Volunteers will be moving dirt and planting grasses. Bring your own work gloves. If you have a shovel\, even better! SUMMARY:Broadneck Grille Fundraiser for Eagle Scout Project & CCC Oyster Project ~ June 25\, 2025
DESCRIPTION:Local Boy Scout\, Kellan Moore\, is working on his Eagle Scout Project\, which\, in turn\, will benefit CCC’s Oyster Project on the Little Magothy River. We are so appreciative and thankful that Kellan has chosen to improve the structure and stability of the oyster table used at the site! (The oyster nursery is located at River Bay Rd. and Swan Dr. in Cape St. Claire). \nHelp Kellan help us by eating at Broadneck Grill – dine in or take out counts! Kellan will get a percentage of the evening’s total receipts to help fund his Eagle Scout Project. And CCC’s work with oysters will be much improved by a sturdier table.
